An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Lead R&D Tech within Honeywell UOP’s R&D Exploratory Research group located in Des Plaines, IL. This position provides an opportunity to design and manage experiments and data analysis in support of internal projects to develop new catalyst or process technologies in strategic growth areas like Sustainable fuels and chemicals, Carbon dioxide management (CCUS), and Metals recovery and recycling.
Key Responsibilities
Independently operate lab plants including fixed bed continuous flow plants and high-pressure autoclave systemsPerform the basic lab operations needed to support pilot plant testing including but not limited to plant construction or revamp, feed preparation, troubleshooting plant operational issues, and analyzing the data to enable go/no-go decisionsEffectively communicate test results in verbal and/or written form to technical teamIdentify opportunities to continuously improve lab safety, productivity, and capabilitiesThe annual base salary range for this position is $73,400 - $85,000.
