Lead Resort Maintenance Tech

 

 

OVERVIEW

Lead Resort Maintenance Technicians perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Suns RV Resorts. They conduct home/building maintenance repairs and are responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment. Additionally, Lead Resort Maintenance Technicians assist the Resort Manager with higher level functions such as mentoring maintenance team members, maintaining maintenance & vehicle logs and assisting with capital expenditure projects.

JOB DUTIESAssists manager in establishing and prioritizing the daily work of maintenance teamMaintains inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies. Purchases equipment, supplies and services with manager approval as neededCompletes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed, as well as routine maintenance, plumbing, sewage, and street repairCompletes checklists of physical condition of resort sites prior to and after guest occupancyMaintains vehicle/equipment maintenance logs and ensures proper maintenance of resort vehicles; prepares all maintenance-related logs in accordance of the Operations ManualReports all maintenance issues and concerns that may be identified while performing daily duties to managerEnsures common area lawns are manicured appropriatelyEnsures the resort is presentable and inviting at all times and that it adheres to Sun's curb appeal standardsFollows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies and ensures the maintenance team is following protocolEnsures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as neededCleans resort amenities which may include clubhouses, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, resort offices, restrooms, laundry areas, bath houses, and maintenance garageMaintains vacant sites, including strap-downs and removal of trash and debrisInspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly, repairs as necessaryInspects playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as neededEnsures all resort streets and public access routes are free of hazardsMaintains resort pool(s), tests chemical levels, and adjusts appropriately, where applicableAssists manager with aspects of the capital expenditure programEnsures safe storage of hazardous chemicals and/or equipmentOther duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED (Required)6 months previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resortDemonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair workAbility to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor workValid drivers license and good driving recordGeneral knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenanceProficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machineryAbility to work well independently as well as on a teamBasic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internetAvailability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call
