Lead Respiratory Clinical Specialist
The Lead Respiratory Clinical Specialist is an expert clinician, educator, consultant, and researcher. In collaboration with the medical staff and nursing staff, monitors the clinical care of patients, trouble shoots problems and crises, anticipates barriers, and helps to prevent them, and provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes. Responsible for the direction and supervision in development of clinical standards, procedures, competency assessment, orientation, and training. Incorporated within each of these role functions, the Lead Respiratory Clinical Specialist is a role model, patient advocate, change agent, leader, and best practice practitioner and steward of finances. Requires BLS and ACLS through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire, Requires PALS through an approved American Heart Association RQI program within the first 30 days. Prefer certification in NRP. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people. Requires excellent communication and time management skills. Previous acute critical care hospital experience
