Lead Risk Analytics Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant that will be an individual contributor role on the Finance Risk Management (FRM) – Liquidity Risk Oversight (LRO) Team. This will be a high visibility role requiring regular interactions with senior leaders across Financial Risk Management, Finance, Corporate Risk, Lines of Business, and Internal Audit.


In this role, you will:

The role will oversee data risk impacting liquidity risk management reporting. The role is expected to maintain an ongoing view on the quality of liquidity data used impacting 2052a and other liquidity reporting by reviewing the performance of controls and monitoring data defects across the remediation lifecycle. This role is expected to engage with business and risk resources to influence and challenge risk management activities and decisions. 

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Oversee and challenge the liquidity management data quality function impacting FR 2052a and other liquidity reporting across all aspects of the risk management life cycle (plan, identify and assess, control, monitor and report, test and validate).Monitor the performance of data quality controls developed by Treasury and upstream data providers and escalate concerns to IRM and front-line management.Maintain an opinion on the impact that data quality issues have on Treasury’s ability to monitor and management liquidity risk for use in liquidity risk assessments.Develop effective presentations on the status of liquidity data quality for senior management and committees.Participate in the enhanced review and challenge of 2052a data defects as part of the defect close-out processUse subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to provide independent oversight and credible challenge to Treasury’s liquidity data risk management activitiesEngage with Finance leadership, Control Executive teams,  and Operational Risk Business Oversight teams to promote a strong  data risk culture.Actively engage in key Finance risk governance routines including strategic planning sessions, governance committees and business reviews.Identify and escalate conflicts with risk management results and expected business outcomes.Influence appropriate risk management prioritization by the front line to enable Finance to meet strategic objectives, while meeting operational risk program expectations.Evaluate cross-program and cross-group analytics to identify opportunities and best practices to influence stronger risk management.Develop and deliver oversight content summarizing the results of the independent risk assessment activities.Partner with both internal and external stakeholders, including resources from all three lines of defense.


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education



Desired Qualifications:

•    

5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: liquidity risk, finance/treasury/asset liability management.BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in banking and finance.Experience in bank liquidity and/or capital analysis including stress test scenarios.Experience working with deposits from a liquidity, finance, treasury, or capital perspective.Experience working with Intraday Liquidity Risk.Experience in bank regulatory matters, in depth knowledge of Liquidity Risk rules and regulations like regulation YY and others.Working knowledge of liquidity risk management concepts.Proven ability to foster constructive relationships with various levels of management.Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization including senior executive-level leadersAbility to be proactive in terms of identifying and addressing risk and management issues that are arising.Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills.


Job Expectations:

Ability to work at one of the approved locations in the job posting.Willingness to comply with our hybrid work model; working from a Wells Fargo facility at least three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
