The RN Lead Case Manager for the Care Management Department serves as the lead clinical resource for case managers, working collaboratively with department managers to develop and implement standards that enhance the quality of case management interventions. This role is integral in aligning with the professional model and the mission and policies of Holy Cross Hospital. The RN Lead Case Manager provides oversight of processes and education related to new staff orientation, staff competency development, and the Continuous Documentation Improvement Program (CDIP).
Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior clinical resource for case managers, providing guidance and support to enhance the quality of case management interventions.Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement standards and best practices for case management.Oversee the process and education for new staff orientation and ongoing staff competency development.Lead and support the Continuous Documentation Improvement Program (CDIP) to ensure accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.Act as a liaison between case management and other hospital departments to promote effective communication and collaboration.Provide expertise in areas related to quality improvement, clinical documentation enhancement, reimbursement, and regulatory matters.Maintain cooperative relationships with medical staff, nursing, and other professional staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.Participate in public presentations and represent the case management department in hospital-wide initiatives and meetings.What you will need:
Required:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the State of Maryland.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree or Certification in Case Management preferred.Minimum of two years of case management experience, including Quality Improvement and Clinical Documentation Enhancement in an acute hospital setting.Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, especially in areas related to reimbursement and regulatory matters.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information assertively and diplomatically.Demonstrated public presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse professional groups.Proficiency in computer literacy and analytical skills.Experience working with patients across all age groups.Pay rate: $43.04 - $64.56
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
