Responsibilities The Lead Respiratory Therapist acts under the direction of the Director/Manager, utilizing Respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines, Statement of Ethics and Professional Conduct: facilitating patient care with the healthcare team, making respiratory assessment, implementing, delivering and evaluating the patient's respiratory therapy needs. The Lead therapist is responsible for the scheduling needs and the coordination of the respiratory teams each shift. Qualifications Education: - Associates Degree Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist - BLS - ACLS - PALS - NRP Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Lead Respiratory Therapist will be required to maintain NRP and PALS certification and be efficient with the care of infants and pediatrics in critical and non-critical areas - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
