Responsibilities

Serve as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Participate in the process of monitoring, guiding and evaluating staff performance.Contribute to efficient operations by assisting with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow and promoting decision-making and problem solving.Performs the duties of a security officer.Model and promote teamwork and cooperation amongst staff. Review staff reports for accuracy, clarity and completeness.Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards. Address escalated or unresolved issues.Assist the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities.For those security officers who are responsible for operating a vehicle, operates in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Drivers License credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.Law Enforcement preferred.Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.Security Professional preferred.Security Guard specializing in Healthcare preferred.Security Guard preferred.Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit preferred.

Education:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

1 year of experience required.
Additional Preferences

Leadership experience, ability to make decisions when supervisor is not on site.

Maintain accountability within the shift.

Ensure all uniforms are correct and all equipment is functioning properly and worn accordingly.
