Job Description
The Lead SOC Analyst is a senior level position within the security operations center. The SOC Lead provides leadership and mentorship to a team of security analysts delivering best in class security monitoring for our customers as part of Motorola Solutions Cyber Security operations.
The SOC Lead develops, maintains, and implements relevant policies and procedures to protect the security and privacy of information from intentional or unintentional damage. This position serves as a technical escalation point and must be able to support the team in advanced security monitoring through triage, investigation, communication and reporting as well as handling complex customer inquiries. The Lead SOC will be responsible for working with stakeholders to provide direction and process implementation for products and technology needs in the Security Operations team.
What you’ll do:
Support the Security Operations team in the delivery of Motorola’s cyber security expertise to the customer
Establish relationships with stakeholders and maintain positive relationships
Serve as the subject matter expert for Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) within our Security Operations Center
Be leader in the growth of the SOC and drive integration of new products
Be a technical and thought leader driving automation, analytics, and operational efficiencies
Promote innovation and forward thinking throughout the organization
Lead service reviews and other forums to ensure that operational services and issues are managed successfully
Experience Needed:
Experience reviewing and coordinating SOC planning based on operational metrics
Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response, and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) tools
Experience with public safety technology (i.e. Land Mobile Radio, 911 Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, or GIS Systems)
Experience with SIEM & network monitoring tools
Solid understanding of the security landscape, including prevalent threats, existing technologies, and modern security architectures
Strong networking skills (TCP/IP) and hands on experience with IT Infrastructure (i.e. Firewalls, routers, etc.)
Previous experience in collaborating with management in developing technical direction, as well as assessing reasonable objectives and timelines.

Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security OR 4+ years experience in a Security Analyst, Security Operations, or similar role.
Minimum of 1 Technical Certification.
