Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of  11 years or 132 months of work experience specificto the job description.  

If a candidate has a  Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job.  The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.

Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.

 

If no degree, work experience may be substituted.

Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start.  Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.

 

Position Description:

 

Provide lead support of a team for the development of a SharePoint 2013 enterprise design including the infrastructure design, software configuration, migration path and ongoing technical support requirements. This includes  documentation of all configurations for future support purposes. Leads the team in support of the customer. This includes deploying solutions throughout the enterprise. Troubleshooting of SharePoint\MOSS problems and responding to user community questions will also be required.

To develop content management and search capabilities within the environment.

To provide support to SQL Server team. These tasks will include providing consultation, installation and configuration of an SQL Server infrastructureto support the SharePoint environment configuration as it evolves in the current project.

. Evaluate the enhanced features provided by the current version of SharePoint used by the Agency and its future iterations.

. Evaluate and recommend solutions and designs to provide backup and recovery of SharePoint data.

. Evaluate and recommend solutions and designs for disaster recovery including local fault tolerance and stand-by facilities located in remote facilities.

. Provide third-level technical support for SharePoint Services as they relate to SSA infrastructure.

. Evaluate and initiate SharePoint solutions to the existing SSA infrastructure.

. Configure, implement and support hardware relating to virtualization, including networking and SAN devices.

. Develop a supportable design for an enterprise deployment of SharePoint.
 
Skills Requirements:


. Experience with Windows Server 2008, IIS or Kerberos.

. Experience with Administration of SharePoint Server 2013 and 2010.

. Experience with developing, deploying, or supporting applications with Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint.

. Experience with developing Search capability or algorithms within SharePoint.

. SQL Server support and management as it pertains to the SharePoint enterprise infrastructure.

. Experience with content management for a large organization within SharePoint.

. Solid knowledge of SharePoint 2010 & 2013 out of the box features and capabilities, including list/library creation and customization, permissions management, and content management.

. Knowledge of C/C#, Visual Studio, and PowerShell.

. Experience with development and enforcement of system polices with regard to file content, server storage, and user capabilities.

. Able to effectively lead a development team.

. Excellent analytical and customer service skills.
