**Lead Shift Operator – Uranium Recovery Operations** **Shifts Available:** **Day, Swing, Graveyard, 12-Hour Rotating** **Position Overview:** The **Lead Shift Operator** oversees daily operations at the Central Processing Plant (CPP) and uranium production wellfields. This role is responsible for monitoring water treatment equipment, managing flow rates, collecting samples, handling ion exchange resin, and overseeing key uranium recovery processes, including elution, precipitation, drying, and final product processing. Additional duties include maintaining documentation, overseeing reverse osmosis equipment, and managing wastewater treatment through a **Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)** system. A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance is essential. **Key Responsibilities:** + Coordinate daily and weekly operational needs with the Plant Superintendent. + Supervise shift crew members, ensuring safe and efficient work practices. + Prepare and submit required regulatory reports in a timely manner. + Maintain compliance with company core values: **Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation.** + Monitor and optimize plant and wellfield production rates, analyzing process conditions to meet operational targets. + Document shift activities and provide comprehensive handover notes for smooth transitions. + Respond to after-hours emergency calls when necessary. + Identify and report potential safety hazards. + Operate and monitor ISR wellfields and CPP uranium recovery equipment. + Oversee DAF building solids removal processes. + Collect and analyze processing samples. + Utilize automated plant and wellfield systems to monitor operations and respond to alerts. + Conduct routine safety and equipment inspections, maintaining accurate records. + Troubleshoot plant and wellfield issues and perform minor maintenance tasks. + Maintain chemical inventory and monitor flow rates for production needs. + Perform preventive maintenance on instruments and operating systems (e.g., meters, pumps, motors, solenoids). + Balance wellfield patterns and control production wells as needed. + Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. + Perform additional duties as assigned by management. **Qualifications:** + Valid driver’s license with company insurance eligibility. + Ability to work independently and communicate effectively. + Basic math, reading, and writing skills. + Experience in well service operations, water treatment, or related fields preferred. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work extended shifts. + Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulatory requirements. **Physical & Work Environment:** + Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting (25–100 lbs). + Exposure to low levels of radiation, noise, moving equipment, wet surfaces, and outdoor conditions, including extreme weather. **Pay Details:** $32.00 to $35.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
