Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Shipping and Receiving professional with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced conditions, have expertise in warehouse organization, safety, and best practices, and possess excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Strong and effective leadership abilities are crucial, as is the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periods, and operate a forklift and pallet jack.
ResponsibilitiesMove merchandise, receive and unload trucks, load trucks, clean up work area, wrap and ship via UPS and LTL dailyPick up material from vendorsReceive incoming freightKeep a clean and organized warehouseStock material on shelvesPick orders and process returns from customers and to vendorsOperate a Microsoft-based computer systemUtilize an RF gun to pull orders, set up racks, and unload shipmentsOrganize the warehouse and set up new areas for customersHandle materials of all shapes, sizes, and weights of electrical suppliesSpend part of the day building racks, setting up the warehouse, material handling, and performing shipping/receiving dutiesEssential SkillsMinimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse environmentExpertise in warehouse organization, safety, and best practicesExcellent communication skillsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to motivate through strong and effective leadershipAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periodsExperience operating a forklift and pallet jackAdditional Skills & QualificationsOne year of warehouse experienceStrong reliability and attendance verified by referencesFlexibility in first shift hoursAbility to switch between shipping/receiving, material handling, and cleaning/organizing partsExperience with RF scanners, order picking, warehouse inventory, packaging, pallet jack operation, data entry, packing, and general laborAbility to assemble racks and use basic hand toolsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes a warehouse setting and outdoor conditions, which can sometimes be extremely hot or cold. The daily dress code is jeans and a t-shirt. The company is a supplier of electrical equipment and tools, and communication is straightforward. Managers expect timely and accurate completion of tasks and will address any issues immediately.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
