Your Role:

Our team at MilliporeSigma is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help develop and implement our APIs and contribute to innovative solutions. This role will involve collaboration with the team to embrace the latest advancements in the field. We work in a hybrid flexible environment. This role can be based in either our St. Louis, MO or Burlington, MA facility.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree preferredAt least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in a corporate environmentAn API-first approach is essentialStrong background in software developmentProficient in software development with practical experience; the ability to code in any programming language is essential and should not be a barrierExperience in consuming and defining servicesFamiliarity with testing frameworksAbility to deliver solutions based on business requirementsEffective collaboration with cross-functional teamsAbility to work with global teams and adapt to a flexible work scheduleProficiency in databases and SQLStrong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric focusExperience with third-party libraries

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with distributed systemsFamiliarity with cloud environmentsExperience with product-oriented engineering development is a plusFamiliarity with version control systemsUnderstanding of development practices, methodologies, and the product development lifecycle
