Lead Software Engineer
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to frontend engineers, drive technical decisions, and foster collaboration within the team. Write high-performance, reusable and scalable code and libraries for front-end web applications. Utilize deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate complex data science concepts into intuitive user interfaces. Telecommuting/remote work permitted from any location within the U.S. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Software Engineer intern, or related occupation. Skills Required: Requires four (4) years of experience in the following: React framework; SASS; JavaScript; jQuery; Node.js; HTML; and CSS. Requires experience in the following: SQL; database management; unit testing; programming languages, including Java, Python, or PHP; application development using Linux and Windows environments; building responsive UI using microservices architecture and RESTful API; running containerized customer facing applications with Docker; setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; building web applications using React framework; building production ready UI with AWS EC2, AWS SQS, AWS Lambda and AWS Dynamo DB; automated testing using Cypress, JUnit and Jest; functional testing of large- scale software systems; using GIT to manage code repository; developing scalable applications with TypeScript; industry frameworks of Spring for backend and Webpack; Angular and Bootstrap for front end development; and developing ADA compliant UI and web applications.
