As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cyber Security & Technology Controls Architecture & Engineering Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on stability and performance of given applicationsEnables end-to-end monitoring and alerting for pertinent systems. Manages all CI/CD pipelines as well as vendor application installs/updatesPartners with the vendor product and engineering teams to test and deploy JPMC requested featuresCommunicates JPMC technical control requirements to the vendor to improve security postureResolves most technical issues independently by leveraging internal JPMC resources and determines appropriate escalation pathConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsIs accountable for upkeep and availability of small-medium size vendor applicationsCollaborates with partner teams to integrate application capabilities. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.Hands-on experience with Java; J2EE; REST APIs; Web Services; building event-driven Micro Services; Kafka streaming, Spring FrameworkExperience with provisioning tools including Terraform and Cloud Formation as well as CI/CDExperience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, IstioCapable of performance testing and tuning; shift-left testing practicesProficient with Data modeling and database designExperience with observability and monitoring configuration using Splunk; Grafana; PrometheusAgile development methodologies, application resiliency, and security best practices

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

AWS Solutions Architect Associate or ProfessionalAtlas experience with EC2, ECS, RDS MS SQLServer, S3, ASG, Route53SpinnakerShell scripting, Unix admin, and Python
