PROCESS BRIEF

Analytics and Trading Engineering is responsible for FactSet’s industry leading Portfolio, Risk, Quantitative, Fixed Income and Front office solutions.  These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers and Traders around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, analysis of performance, risk management, and the presentation of results.  Analytics Engineering’s product space represents a high growth opportunity for FactSet.

SUB-PROCESS BRIEF

The Trading Engineering group is currently seeking an Lead Engineer  in our Hyderabad location. The team is responsible for the development, enhancement and support of FactSet’s Trading suite of products.  As one of the most senior members of the team, this individual would have responsibility  of all aspects of our engineering through an agile development lifecycle, from development, to design reviews, to CI/CD, to cloud migration.   You’ll be part of a dynamic team that is focused on execution and delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver solutions that meet existing and future needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability & reliabilityAdopt test driven development methodologies and write automated unit and integration testsWork in agile team environment and coordinate with architects, engineering leads, managers and product managersMentor and assist other junior engineers in design, implementation and code reviewsProactively advise and inform the leadership with pertinent information with respect to technology and productsFoster a culture of continued learning with an eye on SRE and stability and digital transformation to solve our customer needs.Apply best practices to their own work, and propagate this information within the teamHelp in hiring strategy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

At least 8 years of experience in financial services technology, ideally with a focus in investment management.Firm understanding of Core Java APIs, including collections, multi-threading and real time messaging technologiesStrong knowledge of financial equity or derivatives products, market data feeds, trade lifecycle and post-trade processing, portfolio management, order and execution management systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills are a mustEnergetic, hard-working, detail-oriented, hands-on with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to set own goals based on shifting priorities for self even in an Ambiguous situationAbility to articulate and quickly adopt development best practicesWillingness to work as a member of a team, including participating in code & design reviewsB.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
