As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Develop or enhance UI Components in line with business requirements. Collaborate with internal technologistsOperate as a member of a Scrum development team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including, but not limited to, sprint planning, complexity analysis, standups, and sprint retrospectives, backlog grooming etc.Design, analyze, code, test, and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Adhere to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies.Provide production support coverageExtensive hands-on experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, with a proven history of hands-on development and delivery, ranging from small incremental changes to larger Greenfield projects.Strong communications and documentation skills & proven history of ability to build strong relations with developers ensure successful project delivery. Self-starter, keen to learn new skills and technologies and drive best practices. 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience with Web Tech: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSSExperience with automated testing like react-testing-libraryExperience working with other people in a team settingAbility to communicate, engage and influenceExperience using continuous integration tools, including JenkinsExperience managing assignments effectively, multi-tasking, and working within tight deadlinesAgile development experience and Experience working in a globally distributed teamPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsCloud engineering experience would be an advantage (AWS). Ag-gridContainersCypress or Playwright experienceDevOps concepts like CI, CDUX Design experience
