As a Lead Workday Integration Developer, you will:
•\tServe as the subject matter expert for a large ecosystem of Workday integrations.
•\tLead the design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations.
•\tCreate detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support delivery of new integration capabilities.
•\tTroubleshoot integration issues and provide sustainable, long-term solutions in collaboration with internal and external teams.
•\tResearch integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and develop actionable plans to drive Workday strategy forward.
•\tDesign and build integrations, architecture, and workflows between core enterprise applications.
Role:
The Lead Software Engineer, Workday Integrations will participate in Workday integration technical designs and ensure successful delivery of Workday Integration solutions. In this role, you will:
•\tManage the design, implementation, and delivery of Workday integration projects.
•\tCollaborating with Workday functional teams to translate business requirements into integrated Workday platform solutions.
•\tLeading the integrations workstream of projects by scoping, gathering requirements, documenting, implementing, and supporting solutions using the Workday integration platform toolset.
•\tDesigning, developing, testing, and maintaining custom applications using the Workday Extend platform and related technologies (e.g., Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, Python).
Qualifications:
•\t5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations.
•\tStrong experience with Workday Studio, connectors (Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, WECI), EIBs, Custom Reports, BIRT, and document transformation.
•\tExpertise in Workday Studio, SOAP API, REST API, Import API patterns.
•\tDeep passion for Workday technology, automation, and business problem-solving.
•\tDemonstrated leadership, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in an Agile environment.
•\tExperience in designing and developing complex integrations using web service technologies (SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT).
All About You:
•\tAbility to analyze existing integration landscapes to identify technical debt related to functionality, performance, error handling, and scalability.
•\tDeep knowledge of Workday Integration toolsets including Workday Connectors, EIBs,Studio, SOAP API and REST API
•\tAbility to translate business requirements to system configuration.
•\tExperience documenting business processes, procedures, scripts, and workflows.
•\tAble to communicate with both technical teams and business functional leaders.
•\tStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
•\tProven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
•\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
•\tDemonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
•\tExperience with Workday Extend, JavaScript, and Python
•\tExperience in an Agile development environment.
•\tWorkday Certification is a plus
