We are looking to hire a Lead Sonographer!** As a Lead Sonographer at MercyOne, you will oversee daily operation and staff assignment within the Ultrasound Department and assume interim responsibility in the event of the manager's absence. + Provides clinical direction as well as participates in performance reviews of direct patient care staff. + Assists manager in a variety of tasks, including the following: budget development, analysis of budgetary performance and variances, productivity management, recruitment and hiring of staff, new staff orientation, implementation/follow through with the corrective action process, ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill development/competencies/state practice guidelines, performance improvement activities, data collection/analysis, product design, operationalizing departmental and institutional policies and procedures, preparation for the compliance with regulatory agencies, identifying program development needs/assisting in implementation, and representing Ultrasound Department on departmental and hospital wide committees as deemed appropriate. **Schedule:** **7:00 am - 3:30 pm** **General Requirements** **:** + Special Training: Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB), Vascular (RVT) ; Basic Life Support. Must participate in registry exams for AB, OB, RVT, General Physics & Vascular Physics within 2 years, successful completion within 3 years. + Training Preferred: Word processing, spreadsheet, advanced clinical skills + Licensures/Registration American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARDMS eligible in one area to apply for position. + Experience: More than 3 years experience required **Education** : + 3 year college/university program or equivalent experience + Field of Study: Sonography Colleagues of MercyOne Health System enjoy competitive compensation with a full benefits package and opportunity for growth throughout the system!
