Lead Specialist- Late Stage Collections

This is an entry level position and can be a great way to get your foot in the door into a corporate environment.

 

At KeyBank, we pride ourselves on being client advisors.

 

In this role, you will be placing and receiving call, to help our clients to bring their accounts to active status and/or offer Loss Mitigation Options.

 

This is a hybrid role where you will be asked to work on site at least one day per week with the other work being at home. Our in-office day is Friday

 

Shifts available:

Mon-Thurs 12:30-9:00 pm, Friday 8:00-4:30 with a rotating Saturday: 8 am-2 pm

 

Training:

Two weeks of training. 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

 

Essential Job Duties:

This role primary focus is 90+ DPD Credit Cards and Unsecured Loans in the Late-Stage Unsecured Collections Department

Identifies and resolves situations where customers cannot maintain a current status on their account. Having a thorough and detailed conversation in regard to their delinquency and offering applicable delinquency solutions.Individual will spend 90% of their day on the phone with our customers trying to solve the delinquency by placing outbound and taking inbound calls.  The other 10% is documenting calls and trainings/meetings.Has strong negotiation skills and is able to convince customers the benefits to maintain an active statusAble to follow a schedule that is set by management for breaks and lunches and to limit time away from the phones when scheduled.Other duties as assignedAssist our LOB Partners as needed with call overflow.


Required and/or Preferred Qualifications

Typically, 1 years of experience in customer service or collections role but not requiredAbility to take constructive criticismAbility to work from home 3-4 days per week in a quiet office setting with limited distractionsAbility to work overtime when the line of Business requires itWorks well with others in a fully developed work team environmentExcellent customer service skillsProven excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAnalytical, research and problem resolution skillsQuick learner and be willing to ask questionsComfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applicationsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExpected to maintain an excellent attendance recordProven ability to handle all monetary/ processing functions independentlyModerate knowledge of banking policies, procedures and governmental regulationsProven ability to handle high transaction volumes accuratelyAbility to meet production goals in terms of calls per hour, accounts worked per hour, referrals to Loss Mitigation, taking payments, etc.Proven ability to handle all customer service inquires and diffuse difficult customer situations independentlyAbility to work with minimal supervision in decision makingExceptional attention to detailExcellent customer service skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18 to $24 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
