Lead Staffing Coordinator - Virtua Home Care

Summary:
Provides day to day mentorship and direction to the Staffing Coordinators.
Acts as a resource and ensures consistent implementation of established policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency in coordination of the scheduling of home care services.
Acts as a liaison providing excellent customer service to all patients and staff.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provides oversight of the scheduling process to ensure the scheduling of the appropriate personnel in accordance with the staffing needs of divisional departments following union contract guidelines, per diem budget, and policy / procedure.
• Collaborates and communicates with the management team in a timely manner regarding staffing decisions and scheduling concerns.
• Makes suggestions for process improvement. Assists in the training of new staff and mentors less experienced co-workers.
• Performs related clerical functions: answers the telephone, files, and handles needs from external and internal customers. Supports the Team Manager in compiling reports statistical and staffing reports.
• Reviews customer loyalty results and takes appropriate action to improve results which include contacting patients about their home care experience.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
At least two years clinical staff scheduling experience required.
Computer literate: Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel, data entry, word processing, report generation.
Required Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
