Lead Starbucks Barista

Lead Barista at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (Full-time, Variable Schedule).

Lead supports and contributes to creating and maintaining the Starbucks Experience for customers by assisting the store supervisor in executing store operations, ensuring quality customer service, through shift operations and tasks. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks and Providence Starbucks Group (PSG) guiding principles. Ensures that customers receive prompt service, quality beverages, and products. Maintains a safe, secure, clean, and comfortable store environment. Communicates and ensures achievement of daily goals with store staff to meet or exceed targets.

Performs daily maintenance, cleaning and environmental upkeep of store, equipment, and back room; checks in and unloads Starbucks product deliveries. Monitors employee development and provides feedback to store supervisor. Assists store supervisor with additional store functions as needed. Does not hire, terminate, discipline, promote, demote, transfer or appraise performance.
Guides in the moment employee performance counseling and training. Shares and advocates Providence and Starbucks' shared missions and goals; consistently inspires their teams to create meaningful connections for customers and each other; models and acts in accordance with these guiding principles.

Required Qualifications: 

H.S. Diploma or GED - General, or see Preferred Education. National Food Handlers Permit/Card – State, County, City Authority upon hire.  2 years extensive retail and food service experience and front-line service operations.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Associate's Degree in Food, Nutrition Services, Business, Operations, or related field, Or Coursework/Training: Food Service Technical Certification.
