Summary
Provides front-line leadership for efficient daily supply chain operations. Troubleshoots all supply chain functions and operational issues that may involve work delays, staffing, training colleagues, and resolving customer or supplier issues.
Job DutiesActs as the on site primary point of contact for SDS resources and staff. Provides guidance to SDS team members to ensure daily tasks are completed in accordance with departmental standards. Determines the amount of supply needed for each bin in a clean supply room and ensures that there is enough supply to last until the next replenishment cycle by using the handheld scanner to enter the amount to be picked. Maintains, adjusts and monitors stock levels and works in conjunction with customer and inventory analyst on changes to the stock levels, as needed. Picks supplies scanned from the warehouse/storeroom, while verifying each item by product number, unit of measure, manufacturer number, warehouse location, and quantity to be picked. Ensures that colleagues decrease supplies, as necessary. Delivers supplies to appropriate locations, which includes verifying the supply quantity and description, checking expiration dates, and placing supplies in the correct bins/locations. Straightens up supply rooms, rotating stock, bringing back items that need to be returned for credit, and noting any issues of concern for follow-up. Performs follow-up with clinical leadership, as needed. Performs receiving functions both physically and in the enterprise resource planning system, as well as outgoing shipping functions and investigating missing or delayed packages. Conducts on the job training to SDS staff in accordance with established procedures and practices, including the safe operation of material handling equipment (such as pallet truck/jack). Packs, orders, delivers, monitors, collects, and returns clean and soiled linen (including scrubs and slings) to end users. Checks on work in progress or spot checks work not requiring review. Delivers daily shift summary to management and/or peers. Participates in the preparation for, and completion of, physical inventory. Builds, replenishes, and oversees the code cart process.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED 3 years Progressive experience in any aspect of the supply chain management field Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning and manufacturing operations). Demonstrates basic computer/PC navigation skills.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s Degree Ability to use warehousing devices and equipment, hardware, and software.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
