Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the Registered Nurse serves as a member of the surgical team in the preparation for and execution of operative procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of approved Surgical Technologist program required. Demonstrated knowledge of strict aseptic technique, emotional stability and personal integrity. May be a beginning practitioner. BLS certification required. Minimum of 12 months surgical technologist experience. Certified surgical technologist preferred. Positive rapport with the primary surgeons in assigned specialties required. Excellent collaborative skills required.
