Automation Engineer/Lead System Engineer Job Description The Automation Engineer will be responsible for integrating, automating, and troubleshooting systems for a wide range of customers. This role primarily involves modifying code in Rockwell, creating the system, and assisting projects from start to finish. Typically, you will work on one project at a time, but there may be occasions where you handle up to two or three projects within a short timeframe. Responsibilities + Interface with clients in design meetings and conference calls. + Work with the project team, leading less experienced engineers, and taking direction from the project manager or lead engineer. + Program controllers using Rockwell and Siemens platforms. + Design electrical control cabinets and panels. + Test system configuration to verify functionality. + Travel to client sites for project meetings. + Travel to client sites for system commissioning. Essential Skills + Proficiency in automation and PLCs. + Experience with Rockwell control systems. + Skills in controls engineering. + Experience in panel wiring, panel design, and electrical design. + Proficiency with Siemens PLCs. + Engineering degree. + 2-8 years of relevant experience. + At least 2 years of working experience demonstrating proficiency with Rockwell platforms. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Willingness to travel up to 25%.
