Lead System Planning Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Lead System Planning Engineer with expertise in engineering and transmission assessments, economic modeling, and regional market evaluations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.

Experience in transmission system analysis.

Broad knowledge of US power industry standards, structures, policies, regulations & market fundamentals.

Familiarity with trends and technologies in electric transmission and renewable generation.

Strong track record of relevant professional experience in project development.

Computational literacy including handling large data sets.

Preferred Skills:

Power systems focus.

Interest in offshore wind and competitive transmission project development.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform or facilitate engineering and transmission assessments.

Support production cost modeling and economic evaluations to identify project opportunities.

Apply innovative approaches to simulation for new initiatives.

Conduct technical analysis for potential project partnerships.

Document and present findings; prepare executive summaries or investment papers.

Support or lead on siting, permitting, and licensing requirements if needed.

Represent interests on national, regional, and local levels when necessary.

Oversee consultants or subject matter experts to support the Business Development team.



Pay Details: $74.00 to $99.00 per hour
