KBR is seeking a Lead System Test Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, hand selected systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force and Space Systems Command (SSC) Advanced MILSATCOM Division (SZM). You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the test planning effort to coordinate working group recommendations and to resolve test questions from stakeholdersLead/support government/contractor working groups to develop relevant test scenarios and detailed test planning, culminating in test readiness reviews, test conduct, and review/acceptance of resultsCrafting, coordinating and managing test planning and verification documentsCoordinate the assessment of contractor test plans against the baseline architectureServe as the test subject matter expert for interacting with usersCoordinate and participate in integration testing, analysis and reporting to verify requirement and interface complianceInteract closely with and align efforts of stakeholdersManage and track giver-receiver items across test stakeholderMay require up to 20% travel

 Required Qualifications: 

BS degree in electrical or mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline10+ years of relevant experience in integration and testing5+ years of relevant experience in systems engineeringDemonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution across the spectrum of systems engineering and integration activitiesStrong interpersonal skills, as well as clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skillsTechnical expertise in space or ground systems integration, test, verification, and validationAbility to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environmentUS Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Skills and Experience:

MS in engineeringExperience in MILSATCOM or commercial SATCOM systems

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
