About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Architect for Risk and Internal Audit Technology to lead the architecture, solution design and strategy for major technical transformation. In this role, the individual will be responsible to help drive end to end architecture of Risk Management Solutions. The architect will be a leader for solution design using modern technologies and help drive company's major transformation technology initiatives such as modernization and cloud adoption. The Risk and Internal Audit Technology group plays a major role in influencing and defining the firm wide risk management technology strategy and direction.
In this role, you will:
Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope
Assist in the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives
Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy
Identify medium to high architectural impact projects
Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions
Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams
Make decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas
Ensure applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of Architecture experience with Risk Domain solutions for 3rd line (Audit) or 2nd line processes (such as Testing and Validation).
2+ years of designing public cloud hosted solutions (AWS, Google, or Azure)
3+ years of experience with Event Driven Architecture and designing Microservices with Domain Driven Design
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Risk Management domain (such as, Internal Audit, Testing & Validation, Financial Crimes etc.)
Expertise in leading proof of concepts and prototyping using industry standard practices and tools
Experience in architecting modern technical solutions leveraging open stack such as Java/.NET and vendor-solutions
Demonstrated expertise with leading architecture patterns such as SOA and Gen AI features
Experience with GRC packages such as IBM Openpages or ServiceNow IRM are desired
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
