At Sulzer, we’re on the lookout for a **Lead Technical Field Engineer** to spearhead onsite overhauls of steam and gas turbines. If you’re ready to bring your expertise and leadership to a global organization that values innovation and excellence, we want you on our team! **About the Role** Reporting to the **Field Services and Senior Project Manager** , this role is pivotal in delivering technical direction and support during critical outages. You’ll oversee the assessment, disassembly, reassembly, and condition monitoring of turbine components, ensuring top-tier performance for our clients in power generation, petrochemicals, mining and heavy industry. **Your Key Responsibilities** • **Turbine Overhaul Leadership:** Lead onsite overhauls with technical expertise, guiding the site team through disassembly and reassembly processes. • **Component Assessment** : Perform fact-finding and condition assessments on turbine components and provide expert recommendations. • **HSEQ Excellence** : Support the preparation of HSEQ documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans and Safe Work Method Statements. • **Tooling & Outage Prep** : Advise on tooling requirements and assist with detailed outage preparations. • **Outage Scheduling:** Collaborate with the team to develop and manage schedules for outage activities. • **Customer Engagement** : Partner with the sales team and provide technical expertise during customer interactions. • **Comprehensive Reporting** : Deliver detailed reports post-outage, capturing overhaul activities and assessments. • **Continuous Improvement:** Identify and address nonconformances while ensuring all onsite documentation is completed. • **Travel Opportunities** : Travel across the APAC region to support diverse projects. **What You’ll Need to Succeed** **_Qualifications & Expertise:_** • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent experience. • 10+ years in technical field roles for steam or gas turbines. • OEM-backed training on steam and gas turbines. • Deep knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and outage management principles.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint. • Strong communication and organizational skills. **_Experience That Stands Out:_** • Managing large, complex outages, including capital upgrades and new equipment commissioning. • Expertise in outage planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management. **What’s in It for You?** Benefits: ✨ Competitive and attainable annual bonus scheme. ✨ Flexible work options ✨ Tools of the trade: phone, laptop, and corporate credit card. ✨ Employee Assistance Program for you and your family. ✨ Be part of a global leader in innovation and engineering excellence. **Join Sulzer Today** At Sulzer, we’re committed to powering progress for our customers, our people, and the planet.
