Lead Technologist I, Project Manager Information Security

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Information Security team. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless operation of security projects and initiatives across the organization. The Project Manager will manage traditional project management tasks but will also extend their expertise to assist the CISO, Security Engineering, and Security Operations team. The candidate will play a critical role in coordinating responses to inquiries from various internal stakeholders, including Global Technology, Operations, HR, Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and other Business Units. 

Responsibilities:

 Project Management 

Plan, execute, and oversee information security projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget 

Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies & ensure they are consistently practiced

Continuously Collaborate with other technology PM’s & teams to identify & manage resource demands outside of the Information Security Team 

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications

 Stakeholder Coordination 

Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Global Technology, Operations, HR, Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and other Business Units

Coordinate responses to inquiries from various departments, ensuring timely and accurate communication

Collaborate with the Security Engineering and Security Operations teams to provide technical insights and support in response to stakeholder requests

 Provide Support to CISO and Security Leadership 

Assist the CISO & Head of Security Engineering in strategic planning, reporting, and execution of security initiatives

Provide administrative and operational support to the Security Engineering and Security Operations teams

Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation for executive-level meetings and reviews

   Risk Management, Compliance and Audit Coordination 

Coordinate with Operational Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance teams to manage the Information Security effort to address identified findings and implement corrective actions 

Assist in the preparation of documentation and evidence for compliance audits and assessments

Qualifications: 

Education 

Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience

PMP, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications preferred

Experience 

8-10 years of project management experience, preferably within the information security domain

Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating responses to complex inquiries

Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory requirements

Skills 

Strong project management skills with a deep understanding of information security principles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and office productivity software

Preferred Attributes 

Experience in a similar role within a financial services or highly regulated industry

Understanding of legal and compliance issues related to information security

Ability to translate technical concepts into business language

  This role is designed for a proactive individual who can bridge the gap between technical security needs and broader business requirements, ensuring that information security remains a priority across the organization. 

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $175,000-$215,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
