Job introduction:

 

The Technology Finance organization is looking to add a Lead Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst to their team. This position will play a critical role within the department and the candidate will be responsible for managing and maturing TBM operational outputs that help to enhance financial management, optimize technology investment, and drive value for the organization. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with various market-facing stakeholders to analyze, interpret, and communicate TBM data and insights. Addressing each stakeholder’s needs to inform continued enhancements to the Apptio cost model, reporting requirements, and cross-functional business processes.

 

About the job:

 

1. TBM Operations:

Responsible for coordinating timely and accurate delivery of Shared Tech Services Consumption Results, Application Cost of Ownership Results, along with developing operational requirements for future engagements including but not limited to Strategic Portfolio Management, Product Management, and Enterprise Architecture use-cases.Develop and maintain control reports to provide consistent visibility and shared accountability for monthly results.Continuously evaluate and enhance TBM processes and tools to meet evolving business needs.

2. Financial Management and Analysis:

Manage and analyze TBM data, including technology spending, costs, and performance metrics.Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize technology investments and drive cost efficiencies.Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business cases, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

Partner with technology, finance, and business teams to socialize insights from TBM analysis.Collaborate with stakeholders to define, develop, and track TBM metrics and reporting.Engage with senior leadership to communicate TBM insights, trends, and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

4. TBM Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present TBM reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.Communicate TBM insights, trends, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

5. Team Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive professional growth and development of more junior team members.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor`s degree required; CPA or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive financial analysis experience and/or finance project/program management.Understand Technology Business Management (TBM) concepts.Knowledge of Apptio preferred. Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills with the ability to identify new areas of opportunity and make recommendations to senior leaders on future strategies.Strong social skills to foster collaboration and resolve conflict within the team and with other areas of the organization.Effectively negotiates project direction and communicates to a variety of audiences including higher levels of the organization to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules.Comfortable with raising new ideas and able to influence others through presentations to increasingly large audience.
