Summary
SUMMARY: Develops and maintains the training program for multiple Epic applications; provides training/mentorship to junior associates; confers and coordinates with Sr. IT leadership in high priority/visibility initiatives.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Serves as training lead representative for IS and organizational wide projects in assigning resources including Resource Manager tracking, conducting internal meetings to evaluate project progress, determining LOE and managing content creation as well as timely dissemination of material.
2. Serves as training contact when manager is unavailable/out of office
3. Manages team meetings when manager is unavailable or as needed
4. Involved in coordination of On Call schedule
5. Serves as mentor for other PT’s
6. Leads training team in all aspects, including planning and execution.
7. Confers and coordinates with Sr. IT leadership in high priority/visibility initiatives.
8. Builds, tests and refines training environments; acts as senior troubleshooter.
9. Designs, develops, and maintains instructional materials (i.e., for presentations etc.).
10. Develops new content and develops training materials and answers any participant questions.
11. Develops role-based training content, independently or with team members.
12. Evaluates and incorporates feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures.
13. Maintains policy and procedure documentation.
14. Prepares training lessons, printing materials, and prints materials, and prepares the training environment.
15. Trains and credentialing additional classroom trainers.
16. Trains staff and end users by teaching technical topics.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
A key requirement of this role is to stay current with on-going technology, tools and processes in the industry to ensure support of AHS’s business and clinical needs. As such, this role is expected to align with the AHS IS Department Training Program Guidelines and must meet the training requirements for this role. Training requirements for this role are documented in the AHS IS Training Matrix and will be updated as needed depending on advancements in technology, tools and processes as well as AHS’s evolving business & clinical needs.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
Required Experience: Six years’ experience delivering Epic training or six years’ combined experience in the AHS Trainer I/II/III positions; experience with clinical applications in either inpatient/outpatient setting or experience with revenue cycle applications or patient access services; experience presenting, communicating, and partnering with department leadership with regard to technology education strategies and support.
Preferred Experience: Experience in leading a training team and managing the workflow and multiple priorities involved with an integrated delivery network; experience with both clinical applications in either inpatient/outpatient setting and with revenue cycle applications or patient access services.
