LEAD TEST ENGINEER (ARDAP):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Lead Test Engineer for the  Army Data and Analytics Platform (ARDAP) effort located at Fort Belvoir, VA. ARDAP's mission is to accelerate Army leader informed decisions and warfighter mission accomplishment by ensuring real-time availability of command and logistics information & data.  This is a fast paced job managing subject matter experts and IT professionals advising executive level personnel on financial, technical, and other high-level policy areas.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the testing and evaluation of large-scale DoD systems, ensuring the successful implementation and integration of modifications and changes to the Distributed Learning System (DLS) Enterprise.

This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies, requirements analysis, and systems integration, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions aligned with DoD standards.

Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and procedures to evaluate system modifications and ensure alignment with program objectives.

Define testing acceptance criteria for proposed modifications and alterations to the DLS Enterprise.

Create and maintain detailed Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to track project milestones and decision points.

Conduct in-depth analysis of system designs, hardware configurations, and software solutions to identify potential risks and ensure readiness for testing.

Develop and execute evaluation plans, analyzing test results to provide actionable insights for system improvements.

Support test and evaluation efforts by providing technical expertise in requirements analysis, systems integration, and performance testing.

Develop and deliver clear and concise briefings, documentation, and decision papers to facilitate stakeholder approval of DLS modifications.

Maintain and update testing documentation, ensuring compliance with DoD and organizational standards.

Provide weekly updates on project progress, including work breakdowns, schedules, and decision milestones.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful system integration, including hardware, software, and network components.

Provide technical support for technology and market research, ensuring alignment with emerging trends and best practices.

Act as a subject matter expert on testing methodologies, guiding junior team members and stakeholders in best practices.

Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing and evaluation work-flows, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and DoD standards to continuously refine testing approaches.

Qualifications

BA/S in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or Equivalent is required - MA/MS preferred.        

Five (10+) years of experience of relevant technical experience.

Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE.Proficiency in developing test strategies, plans, and documentation for complex systems. Hands on experience with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and requirements management tools. Strong programming and analytical skills, with expertise in PC/mainframe based scientific programming and database development. Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, requirements analysis, and systems integration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results within tight deadlines.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
