Lead Tooling Engineer
Job Description SummaryThe Lead Tooling Engineer will own all indirect consumable materials for the Greenville site. This will cover distribution plans, annual budget forecasting, cost reduction projects, lean integration and KPI communication.

Essential Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the distribution of $34 million dollars of material across the GVL campusIntegrate our Indirect Supermarket and Waterspider support into the Lean Roadmap for the sitePlan, Do, Check, Act on Cost projects to reduce the Tool and Supply cost for Gas Turbine Mfg.Meet weekly with finance on forecasting, budget attainment, and KPI CommunicationCollect and synthesize tooling data to share with production cellsManage a team of 23 contract employees who procure, deliver, and engineer tool programsCoach MEs on cost or consumption improvement opportunitiesDevelop a broad understanding of machining across the plant.Execute projects to improve ergonomics, noise, protection, and strain for shop floor operatorsProblem-solve tool outages, delays, and changesDrive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable costDevelop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process controlSupport product qualifications as neededOther duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).Minimum of 2 additional years of experience in Manufacturing

The base pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $106,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation.

This posting is expected to remain open until at least September 20, 2024.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
