ICF is seeking a Lead Transportation & Energy Consultant responsible for planning and completing major project tasks related to electric vehicle and charging infrastructure programs. A successful candidate will be responsible for helping shape critical programs for the next era of transportation and energy policies that will impact our communities and our world. The position involves working as part of a team that develops, implements, and evaluates clean transportation technologies, strategies, and programs. Work may also include analysis of strategies to reduce emissions from a variety of transportation sources, analysis of the costs and benefits of advanced vehicle technologies and alternative transportation fuels, development of policy and program recommendations to support accelerated deployment of electric vehicles, research on industry trends, report writing, and presentations.
Existing knowledge of and experience working with government and utility on-road electric vehicle programs is essential. The successful candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Fleet electrification studies
• Clean vehicles and fuels programs
• Charging and refueling infrastructure planning
• Emissions modeling and analysis
• Criteria and greenhouse gas pollutant emission reduction strategies
The position is located on the West Coast of the United States, preferably in one of ICF’s California offices.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and managing transportation electrification planning studies for government and utility clients.Developing and analyzing forecasts of electric vehicle sales and market penetration.Analyzing locations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.Staying current and connected with the electric vehicle market, including trends, policies, key players, and more.Leading the development and deployment of communications, outreach, and training resources, including case studies, webinars, in-person events, presentations, and other opportunities.Interacting with clients and supervising staff execution of tasks and projects.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, environmental studies, energy, public policy, or a similar field. 4+ years’ work experience in clean transportation, including electrification and hydrogen applications1+ years' experience in directing, leading, planning, and managing clean transportation projects.1+ years foundational knowledge in transportation electrification, including vehicle technologies and charging infrastructure.Preferred Skills/Experience
Familiarity with the development and delivery of fleet electrification programs.Familiarity with other low carbon transportation fuels.Experience with transportation carbonization studies.Experience with government and/or commercial business development.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.Flexibility and sound business ethics.Proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel and RWorking at ICF

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$97,699.00 - $166,088.00California Remote Office (CA99)
