Lead Ultrasound Technologist
Full Time

Coordinates ultrasound services to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Performs ultrasound procedures and generates images for interpretation by radiologists or licensed practitioners. Oversees department efficiency, ensures high-quality imaging, and supervises staff. Adjusts operations to meet patient needs and ensures proper care management.

Requirements

Associate degree in Sonography or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of ultrasound experienceARDMS certification (or eligible) with required Abdomen and OB-Gyn certifications within 1 yearCurrent CPR for Healthcare ProvidersStrong communication, technical skills, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Hospital Policy and Department Efficiency: Ensures adherence to policies, manages patient flow, and schedules. Assists in staff training and competency.Image Quality Assurance: Produces high-quality images, verifies PACS archiving, and participates in peer reviews.Quality Control: Manages supplies, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.Patient Care: Verifies patient information, performs time-outs for invasive procedures, and monitors patients throughout exams.
