At Medallia, we hire the whole person. The Role and Team Join our dynamic Product Design team as a Lead UX Researcher, where your passion for creating exceptional user experiences will thrive. Our team is comprised of product designers and accessibility experts, all dedicated to tackling complex problems within our enterprise customer experience applications. We work across various industries, including retail, finance, and B2B, ensuring a diverse and meaningful work environment. As the Lead UX Researcher, you will be the driving force behind our user research efforts. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to shape and grow the UX research function from the ground up. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform design decisions and enhance user satisfaction. Please note that this position is remote, reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Design. Responsibilities Oversee multiple research projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Contribute to the development of long-term UX research strategies and roadmaps, aligning them with business objectives and user needs. Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, communicating research findings effectively and influencing decision-making processes. Collaborate closely with other teams such as product management, design, engineering, and marketing to integrate user insights into product development processes. Provide thought leadership and best practices in UX research, and share knowledge and insights with the team and the broader organization. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 8 years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development Demonstrated experience in UX research, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to drive impactful research projects Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of research methodologies and tools Preferred Qualifications Master's or PhD degree Proficiency in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data using various analytical techniques and tools Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings to diverse audiences Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $134,400- $241,500. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
