Overview Job Title: Lead Visual Merchandiser Location: Macy’s Herald Square, NYC Job Type: Full Time Hourly Pay Rate: $25 – $28/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday through Friday Expected Hours: 40 hours/week (flexible between 7 am to 7 pm) Job Overview: Winston Retail seeks a high-level Visual Merchandiser who will lead a team of 2-4 support merchandisers to plan, strategize, and execute enhanced visual merchandising standards for an international Sports Apparel Brand in Macy’s Herald Square in New York City. These merchandising strategies and solutions are to be executed to create a positive brand experience and help drive in-store sales. Your expertise in visual merchandising will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer’s shopping experience. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with brand and company standards. Effective communicator for all business partners; from teammates, store management, and brand clients. Must be able to explain client and brand expectations and take feedback effectively and productively. Handling client one-off requests or initiatives (such as supporting window display execution for product launches, setting up new outpost areas, capturing competitor insights, etc.). Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device. Style and update multiple mannequins across all brand pads regularly. Lead team on VM Standards and execution. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand on feet the entire shift Experience and Benefits 3-5 years of retail merchandising experience in apparel, footwear, and accessories Managed a team of 3+ people. Relationship-building experience and the ability to easily navigate challenging situations with store management as well as excel when interacting with clients. Previous experience working with mannequins is essential (assembling, updating, and styling). Must provide examples of successes with mannequin styling in current or previous roles. Must be familiar with planograms and visual directives and possess the creative ability to merchandise with little or no direction Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written forms. Additional Position Requirements: Technology: Smartphones are required for reporting; tablets are not supported. iOS users should use an iPhone 11 or newer, while Android users need a device from 2020 or after with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest.
