Lead Wait Staff, Full-Time
We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us!Part of a nation wide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Covenant Living is seeking a Lead Wait Staff. This position is accountable for providing prompt, courteous service to all residents and guest in the dining room during meal times. They are also responsible for preparing salads, desserts, etc. as directed.

Supervise all wait staff in the Riverbend and CafeAssist with the training all new wait staff.Assigns duties to staff as needed. Will assist with hosting in the Dining Room in order to keep all sections evenly seated and controlling the flow of the Dining Room. Responsible for serving residents in the Dining Room.Monitors service to assure consistent high quality is maintained.Provides input to the Dining Room Manager/ Supervisor in regards to resident feedback and resident satisfaction.Coordinates all resident meal requests; records reservations; plans seating arrangements, sets up catering events and ensures a smooth/consistent take-out process.Provides menu information to residents and wait staff.Responsible for closing duties in the Dining Room Manager/Supervisor's absence.

The ideal candidate will have:

High School diploma. 

Previous dining experience required

Additional education and training in management is desirable.

Minimum age is 18. 

Genuine desire to understand the needs of and work among a geriatric population. 

Ability to supervise and direct others in close harmony with a variety of age groups especially students and the elderly. 

Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal, English), and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional and prompt manner.
