Job Description
Insight Globals large renewable energy client is looking for a Lead Wind Technician to join their team in Franklin, ME. The Lead Wind Technician, working under the Site Manager's supervision, oversees operations at the Bull Hill wind facility while actively participating in hands-on maintenance and repairs of wind turbines and high-voltage systems. This role involves planning and executing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance across multiple wind turbine platforms, as well as training team members in troubleshooting and repair procedures. The position requires expertise in high-voltage systems, including switching operations and isolation verification, along with the ability to read technical schematics and use specialized equipment. Administrative responsibilities include managing inventory, documenting work in digital systems, coordinating purchases, and tracking deliveries. The Lead Technician must prioritize safety protocols while maintaining flexibility for on-call shifts and occasional travel to remote locations.

Skills and Requirements
-4+ years of experience in the Wind Energy industry as a Wind or Wind Tech II
-Experience with wind turbines and related power plant systems
-Experience with Vestas V100-1.8 MW turbines or similar turbine models
-Experience with repair and maintenance of wind turbine/generator systems and related equipment as follows:
electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, as well as PLC programming and troubleshooting skills and ability to perform related essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
-Valid drivers license
-High School diploma or GED or 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar/related role null
