Lead Worker

Location: FT Meade, MD

Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30pm-11:00pm

Primary Function(s):

-           Responsible for leading, directing and/or approving and signing for work of other employees on his/her team.

-           Responsible for the quality and quantity of work completed by the employees on his/her team.

-           Log in and out at the front desk in each building where services are being performed.

-           Complete Quality Assurance inspection reports as required.

-           Remove trash.

-           Sweep entranceway, porches, steps and all sidewalks.

-           Sweep and wet mop all floors, stairs and landings.

-           Vacuum, spot clean and remove stains from carpets and apply disinfectant.

-           Clean drinking fountains and water coolers.

-           Spot clean walls.

-           Clean, disinfect, and supply restrooms.

-           Dust and wipe interior windows, window sills and frames, and child activity items.

-           Scrub child care activity structures such as tables, desks, chairs, walls, woodwork and partitions in child activity spaces/module and bathrooms.

-           Dust and wipe all child activity items such as major toys, etc.

-           Clean carpet in all areas and apply disinfectant.

-           Perform weekly floor maintenance tasks.

-           Perform monthly floor maintenance tasks.

-           Clean upholstered furniture and other miscellaneous furniture and surfaces.

-           Strip, seal, wax and buff floors quarterly.

-           Machine scrub restrooms with ceramic tile floors and other concrete, ceramic or quarry tile floor surfaces in restrooms.                                                                                   

-           Clean all window coverings every six months when scheduled.

-           Wash all windows (inside and outside) located on exterior walls including window frames, casings and screens.

-           Obey Government rules, regulations, directives and requirements.

-           Comply with safety procedures.

-           Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties if required.

-           Comply with safety procedures.

-           Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Chimes District of Columbia  policy.

-           Attends and participates in inservice training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development.

-           Works cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers,  community   professionals, customers, vendors and the public.

-           Follows instructions and abide by Chimes District of Columbia policies and procedures.

-           Is a positive role model for all Chimes District of Columbia staff.

-           Contribute to a work atmosphere in a manner which is positive, enthusiastic, respective and courteous.

-           Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Secondary Function(s):

-           Do inventory.

-           Maintain equipment.

-           Keep records and provide requested reports.
