Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Characterization of SiC single crystals using x-ray topography and other X-ray based techniques Analyzes crystal defects and provides feedback to the RD&E team on the defects and their possible nature/origin. When necessary, selects and prepares representative samples and sends them to universities and analytical labs for additional studies and characterization. Interprets the obtained results and serves as a liaison with external resources. Analyze results using statistical tools when appropriate and summarize in formal written and oral reports. Actively helps maintain/calibrate x-ray equipment and trains personnel Creates and updates all operational procedures and guidelines pertained to x-ray characterization based on ISO principles. Ensures that operation of x-ray and other characterization equipment follows all applicable safety and health regulations.Education & Experience
