ABOUT THE JOB:Our Yard Workers are one of the most important roles at WillScot. Without YOU, we cannot get our Storage and Office Units out on time and in proper shape. Our growing branch is looking for an individual to lead a small team of our Yard Workers. This is a working lead position where you will ensure the WillScot Storage Units and Offices are cleaned, repaired and in working condition so they can be rented out.

Supervise 3+ Yard Workers in the day-to-day completion of their jobs. Assigning daily tasks Monitoring and signing off on work completed to ensure units meet quality standards Completing and submitting all work orders for the Yard Conducting periodic safety checks (PPE and ensuring policies are being followed) Coaching and training Yard Workers Clean, repair and ensure all Storage Units and Offices are in working condition and ready to be rented. This will include: Sweeping and hose out Checking A/C if applicable Replacing tile or epoxy flooring Repairing drywall holes Cleaning windows, blinds, doors, floors and walls Replacing light bulbs, locks, blinds, door handles, etc Painting Minor welding Minor electric Documents work completed and verifies units either need further repairs (red tagged) or are ready to rent (green tagged) Ensures the supplies are replenished and the Yard is both organized and is free of debris and potential hazards Other duties as assignedEquipment Used and Responsibility:
Mop Paint and painting materials (bucket, brushes, rollers, stencils) Dry wall putty and masks Welder Floor cleaners Maintenance tools for repairs Computer EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Qualifications:
1-2 Years experience with general labor and general repairs High School Diploma Welding experience preferred 1+ Years of Lead experience preferred 1+ Years of coaching and training experience preferred Intermediate computer skills (e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing, database)
Additional Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly on a daily basis Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions Ability to work with a variety of hand tools in a proficient manner Ability to climb a ladder up to 25 feet Ability to drive/travel in truck for multiple hours on a daily basis Eyesight and Auditory Skills must be sufficient to meet safety expectations of the position Ability to stand and perform manual labor for multiple hours on a daily basisDisclaimer: This posting describes the general nature and level of work performed and does not represent an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, or skills required. Salary Range: $20.70 - $28.00
Individual rates are based on a variety of factors such as degrees or certifications, skill-level and years of experience, and include considerations such as expected overtime and variable compensation pay such as bonuses or commission.
