Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM’s Global Technical Center three times per week, at a minimum.

As a Leadership Development Program Manager Group Leaders, you will design and shape impactful learning experiences that support our group leaders—frontline supervisors managing hourly plant workers helping them develop the leadership skills needed to thrive in high-paced, operationally intensive environments.
This role is responsible for creating new development programs, working with vendors to craft high-quality learning solutions, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.

What You’ll Do:
Program Design & Strategy – Develop leadership development experiences specifically tailored for group leaders managing hourly plant workers in manufacturing and operational environments.Vendor Management – Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors to create and deliver impactful learning solutions, ensuring alignment with GM’s leadership expectations.Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner closely with People Analytics, HRBPs, plant leadership, and internal learning teams to identify needs, measure impact, and refine program strategies.Consulting & Needs Assessment – Use consulting and analytical skills to identify leadership development gaps, ensuring programs align with GM’s competencies and the unique challenges of managing an hourly workforce.Project & Program Management – Oversee program execution, ensuring seamless coordination across internal stakeholders, facilitators, and vendors.Learning Technology & Innovation – Leverage LMS platforms and digital learning tools to enhance the learning experience.Additional Job DescriptionRequired Skills & Abilities:
5+ years of experience designing and implementing leadership development programs or equivalent learning experiences, ideally in manufacturing or operational environments.Strong knowledge of adult human development, behavior change principles, and leadership development best practices.Experience in instructional design and working with vendors to produce effective learning solutions.Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong program execution, management, and analytical skills with a track record of scaling learning initiatives.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience with project management and navigating procurement processes.Must be willing to travel up to 25%.What Will Give You a Competitive Edge:
Bachelor’s degree in related field Experience in manufacturing, operations, or other industries with a high proportion of hourly workers.Certifications in leadership assessments (e.g., StrengthsFinder, Hogan, 360 assessments).Functional business experience that provides insight into leadership challenges in an operational setting.Experience working with learning technology such as LMS or digital authoring tools.Success Metrics for this Role:

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $68,900–$122,800.
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
