Position Summary:
The Leadership Development Specialist will make a significant contribution to helping our dedicated clinical, research, and educational leaders grow professionally while on the job. The specialist will work with leaders to assess needs, design and deliver development programs, and assess the outcomes and impact of programs and services. Leadership coaching and organization development consultation is also an integral element of this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Assess system-level, team, and individual leader development needs. Use contracting principles to ensure the right conditions are present for an effective leadership development program or intervention. Partner with leaders to design, develop, and facilitate programs and experiences to address needs. Evaluate, select, and administer assessment instruments to create awareness at self, team, and system levels, and to support leadership development programs/team interventions. Evaluate leadership development interventions, using qualitative or quantitative methods, for use in determining overall impact of client solutions. Provide coaching and consultation to both individuals and teams, including providing consultation to leaders as they apply learning to improve team functioning, employee engagement, lead change, and foster innovation. Conduct evidence-based research to inform the design and delivery of relevant services and interventions including, but not limited to leadership development, conflict management, group facilitation, team building, strategy, and change management. Work closely with other members of the NYU Langone Academy and broader HR team to assess and monitor institutional needs, industry trends, and the organization’s ongoing transformational projects to anticipate and plan for the leadership capability needed for organizational success. Establish strategic partnerships with external and internal sources and vendors. Manage and collaborate on projects to advance departmental strategy and goalsMinimum Qualifications:

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771 – $100,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
