Posting Summary
Support L4E Project Director in administration of research, logistics and communication responsibilities for the project; help to maintain positive relationships with department and university. Work closely with the UVM Project Director and L4E staff at McGill University. Requires a high degree of professionalism and an ability to think creatively, a commitment to effecting positive change in the world, and a desire to work in an academic setting with graduate students and faculty. Support L4E research groups. Support desired project outcomes of effective strategic communications and informed and intentional advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelors degree in a related field and one to three years of experience in event planning, project management, budgeting, student engagement, human resources and finance, as well as demonstrated project coordination skills, effective writing and communication skills, and competency with spreadsheets, database applications, and design software.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience working in an academic institution, think tank, institute, or similar organization is desirable. A desire to join a team of people working toward a sustainable and just future economy is preferred but not required.
Anticipated Pay Range $23- $28
Other Information
Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position, A probationary period may be required
