Pay Rate: $19- $25 based on experience
The purpose of the Warehouse Lead is to maintain key departmental experience and expertise that require specialized skills and training as identified by management. These positions involve specific areas such as receiving, production, inventory control, and administration. Warehouse Specialists are responsible for training employees, ensuring SOP adherence through observations, supporting the rollout of new processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, they promote a team-oriented, safe, and clean working environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cross-Training: Gain experience across all departments as required, learning various distribution center roles to perform diverse functions as business needs dictate, with potential for daily or frequent reassignment. Fast-Paced Environment: Operate in a metric-driven setting, collaborating with leadership and workgroups to share task-related information. Safety & Team Spirit: Actively contribute to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and encourage a positive team spirit. Production Monitoring: Assist in overseeing production, identify obstacles, and escalate complex issues to the leadership team. Lean Culture: Promote and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance distribution processes. Training & SOPs: Train new hires and retrain team members as needed. Ensure the effective rollout and completion of SOP training. Effective Communication: Serve as a communicator for assigned roles, assisting in relaying new processes and procedures, and conducting both group and individual training sessions. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in warehouse, distribution, or supply chain roles.Other Information:
Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written English. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse management systems, power/mobile equipment, and PC operations. Additional training or certification on power equipment may be required. Physical Requirements: Capable of regularly lifting up to 70 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds. Ability to push, pull, grasp, and perform fine manipulations using hands throughout the work hours. Work Environment: Ability to walk on uneven surfaces infrequently. Must be able to perform duties required by associates they lead. Software Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early starts or late finishes.
