PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: 

To be eligible for the VIE program, you must be European, aged between 18-28 old and graduated from a master/engineering degree Your application must be submitted in English to be considered by our non-French speaking teams in our plants worldwide. As part of your international development, you cannot perform a VIE in the country of your citizenship. 

 

The VIE Program of Faurecia is an international young graduate program, which enables young graduates native from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

We are looking for an FES Specialist VIE who will provide support to the FCM, and who will be based in the Columbus North Plant in the U.S

 

The mission will last 12-18 months

 

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Using their Lean Manufacturing Experience, the site FES Specialist will contribute to the building of the site and departmental improvement Plans.

The main missions of the role are:

As set within the Site Improvement Plan, support the Management team in the application of lean manufacturing methodologies and tools through their active participation on the Shop floor. Thus providing training and coaching to Pant personnelLean Manufacturing Principles and Standards: Managers ensure the correct daily usage of the Lean manufacturing standards; Lean manufacturing Specialists ensure the lean manufacturing standards are usedTransfer knowledge and experience to Plant Personnel through, in particular, shop floor improvement activitiesReport to the Plant Manager and liaise with Division Senior Lean Manufacturing Specialists to ensure their own knowledge of Group Standards and best practices is developed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: Master’s degree level of education requirement                       

Experience:

Minimum 1 year Professional site experience (e.g. Engineer, Supervisor, Manager level or equivalent)Has a recognized experience and ability to improve process KPIs within a plant department by using Lean manufacturing principles

Skills and competencies:

Good interpersonal relationship skills and trainer’s skillsMinimum bi-lingual (English mandatory)Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Forvia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
