JOB SUMMARYThe Learning Advisor serves in a strategic role in content development role in support of Learning Solutions Customers. This individual is accountable for implementing solutions outlined by the Solution Design (BD) and Learning Strategy team. The Learning Advisor serves as the Writer or Learning Strategist on project teams, interacting with the customer utilizing strong account management skills and is accountable to own their assigned projects and/or work streams (including, but not limited to development of strawmen, workshop-at-a-glance documents, transcripts, and drafts, guiding and advising the customer, soliciting customer feedback and completing deliverables within expected timeframes) with a goal of working with little or no direction/oversight from a senior Learning Strategy team member. As needed, Learning Advisors may oversee writers (contract or full time), with support from other team members, and may be tasked with executing/facilitating training or train-the-trainer sessions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning Strategy and Innovation Responsibilities:
Conduct and in some cases, lead the strategic learning approach for their own deliverables, or those of other team members tapping into their own experience and expertise.Apply a total account management approach to customer interactions with a view to uncover unmet need and strengthen customer engagement and relationships.Support the Business Development team by participating customer needs discussions (in-person or virtual) and serve as a learning expert in the areas of strategic, tech-enabled, or innovative solutions.Conduct a strategic evaluation of the customer’s business goals and anticipated outcomes as well as current user experience expectations to develop learning solutions which advance all defined objectives.Monitor industry trends, both Biopharmaceutical and learning innovation, to integrate into customer deliverables, and Syneos offerings and processes in order to contribute to the development of industry leading training.
Project Execution Responsibilities:
Validate customer needs, current training gaps, document outcomes, and recommend learning solutions to meet customer needs.Develop Training Roadmaps, which include defined curriculum with recommended modality and sequencing, that guide associated curriculum development.Nurture innovative training concepts and tools such as generative AI, emerging digital learning technologies and tools throughout the project to ensure alignment with the strategic intent; includes strategic engagement with the customer throughout the project.Develop engaging and effective training content that can be delivered via multiple modalities (e.g., distance-learning e-modules, e-zines, video, live training, communication, and sustainability tools)Ensure that all training content is developed using effective and industry leading instructional design strategies and leveraging existing Learning Solutions intellectual property as needed.Ensure training content is designed, developed and delivered with a view to the most effective and efficient modalities in alignment with the budget and customer needs.Oversee or develops live training logistics such as scheduling assistance, printing guides, and facilities requirements in collaboration with the project manager.Collaborate with all project team members and internal stakeholders as needed to develop content and solve project challengesContribute to Learning Solutions intellectual property and ensure quality standards are met for all deliverables.As appropriate, serve as a facilitator and/or conducts facilitator training for all developed content.As required, lead status meetings with the customer team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare industry, preferably sales or trainingPreferred:
Minimum 5 years of experience in training, or field sales trainingMinimum 2 years in account management, hospital sales or other senior sale rolesExperience in instructional design, content development
Education
Required:
4-year college degree (life sciences preferred) or equivalent relevant experiencePreferred:
MBA or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
Skills
Required:
Applied strategic thinking, agile mindset, innovative, demonstrated problem solving skills, organized, ambitious and coachable. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word.Preferred:
Background in Account Management, and/or Training (brand training, field sales training)Travel expectations: Estimated at up to 10%.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $121,000 to $145,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
