Learning and Development Consultant

JOB SUMMARY:

The Learning Consultant role provides an exciting bilingual opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team that will shape a strong learning culture within a growing organization. This role will design, facilitate and deliver innovative, learning solutions that support overall learning and development strategies and align our strategic business objectives with world class learning practices.  The Learning Consultant’s main responsibilities cover (1) learning strategy and transformation (2) learning business partnership (3) learning and curriculum design (4) program and content delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning and Curriculum Design

These responsibilities include the assessment and identification of learning needs, holistic design of learning solutions, and development of curriculum content, determination of training delivery strategy and coordination of training delivery/sessions. Assist with establishing a world-class learning design practice that includes the use of multiple learning methodologies, defining learning objectives, establishing and maintaining timelines, incorporates learning standards that advance consistent execution. Design bilingual learning programs and collateral material to support learning initiatives including but not limited to facilitator guides, participant workbooks, handouts, presentation slides, and e-learning modules. Develop measures of assessing the application of knowledge acquired from the learning experience. Research and develop initiatives to meet business needs; piloting initial classes and workshops; and,

Learning Consultancy

Consult/support with HR leaders and internal stakeholders to determine needs, gather data, analyze audiences, create learning experiences and select delivery methods that meet the determined objectives and goals. The consulting practice will utilize a standard process to investigate, recommend, implement and curate learning solutions that will be delivered to the business to affect performance outcomes. Understand and assess business and client goals; identify performance and skills gaps and analyze for root cause to recommend the appropriate learning intervention. Identify and manage expectations of key stakeholders across multiple organizations that are impacted by the project.

Program Management and Delivery

Deliver high quality programs, live and virtual, that incorporate adult learning theory and incorporate experiential learning, tailored and appropriate scenarios, and high participant interaction. Bilingual facilitation of courses for leadership and professional audiences, including but not limited to courses on leadership, engagement, communication skills, on-boarding, systems implementation, and strengths-based development. Facilitation and tailoring of workshops and interventions for intact teams (for example, development discussions, leadership assimilations, team building, including team and individual coaching sessions.) Project oversight for the deployment of new initiatives, (or revised and updated initiatives), including the project plan to execute and deliver the program to the organization (socialization with business partners, logistics, learning session requirements, appropriate dates for launch and execution, etc.) Support and manage the LMS systems which includes curating program content, loading courses, proficient in utilizing the LMS to maximize learning solutions. Oversee coordination of scheduling and logistics for classroom training sessions, webinars, and other development activities.

Learning Strategy

This position is responsible for the overall design, coordination, delivery, and oversight of organizational wide programs and initiatives that support the organization’s strategic initiatives. Advance the learning and development function to one that serves as a subject matter expert in the area of organizational learning and performance Forecast and prioritize learning needs that support organizational goals Assist in establishing a governance model whereby the central Learning and Development team provide counsel and guidance to internal subject matter experts. Diversify the learning delivery model to obtain the greatest adoption rates sensitive to business needs and learning style aligned with the overall culture.

Education/Experience/Skills

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience. Proficiency with bilingual Spanish/English translation includes accurately speaking, writing, and live translation of both languages utilizing proper grammar and syntax. 5 years of directly related experience or combined education /experience Proficient with instructional design and adult learning methods within all design modalities, live, e-learning, virtual and the ability to transform the curriculum into a fun, creative, and impactful learning experience. Demonstrated ability to deliver and facilitate classroom style learning to all levels of the organization and to a variety of audience sizes. Ability to communicate professionally at varying levels within the organization including written and spoken forms of communication Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, Articulate 360 or other design software, Camtasia, Bitable or other video software, Piktochart

PREFERRED:

Project Management Certification Change Management Certification Clifton StrengthsFinder Strengths Performance Coach Certification or other related experience with coaching Experience and implementation of Learning Management Software (LMS) Learning Consultant Certification
