This is a 12 month contract position. Here's how a(n) Learning and Development Specialist for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities Works within the learning management system (LMS) to enhance the learner experience, making learning options more readily and easily accessible. Stakeholder contact to manage learning objects (courses) in the LMS, establishing a strong and collaborative approach across PCL. Leverages diverse subject matter experts to ensure accurate system data that reflects business requirements. Documents well-defined standards and processes that support PCL’s learning infrastructure. Identifies opportunities for improved utilization of existing business applications and processes. Supports planning and executing system-related change management activities. Supports the development of learning management system training for administrators, managers and learners. Supports system data audits to ensure the integrity of records. Supports the design and management of reporting to support company metrics and KPIs. Qualifications Relevant post-secondary training or equivalent work experience. 3 years of progressive experience in a related field. An integral relationship builder promoting innovation, integration, and collaboration with an extensive array of stakeholders. Learner-focused approach to increase LMS utilization and optimize the end-user experience. Ability to work independently with little supervision, and to deploy superior listening and collaboration skills to gather information and meet the needs of stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and manage multiple projects focusing on results. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication.
